Not really feeling this one. It has a certain amateurish feel and takes way too many cues from "Shades of Blue" and Dilla. Even has the same samples. It's one thing to be inspired and another to rip off. I believe this is more of the latter.

I'd much rather listen to Shades of Blue and Donuts than listen to a watered-down, inferior variation of it. Thanks for the share, though.

Yeah it only uses 1 sample that dilla used and 0 that madlib used. Thanks for checkin it out though.

i thought this effort was pretty dope to be honest...
would like to hear more from this producer..
i especially liked the the dialogue samples, like the Fox news one... i didnt hear dilla or madlib ripoff at all.. most producers are influenced by those two somehow, how could you not be...
good shit

If you dislike it, completely fine. We can't please everyone.

Greatly appreciate the respectful discussion however, too often immaturity rears up and people go nuts when they dislike something...

Thanks for not being a bitch, and hopefully we can bring you something you like a little better next time.

well, i usually add the beats to my collection, most of which i havent listened to yet, and just put it on random and freestyle. so i learn about whos dope over time. and my opinions change from day to day and things change. honestly i havent not liked anything thats been posted. not even a single track. sure i like some more than others. but a lot of times its just different vibes not necessarily one is better than other. tho i do appreciate more work and more time put in.

just my 2.

i will definitely be checkin this out.

peace!

This was a great listen. There were a handful of really standout tracks in my opinion.

a few tracks seemed like filler almost, but the majority of the tracks that did move me were very well done!

Good stuff, I look forward to hearing more you guys. The vocal samples were a good touch as well.

I have to give my man respect for putting this record out. My favorite joints are 2 minute break: (a pete rock redux, carmel city, which i love too damn much) Where ever the sample came from it sure give's me that feel good vibe. Deja Vu, another Pete sample, but I like where The Admiral took it. He didn't just jack the same loop as Pete, at least not until the end. I've never heard that record, so It was great to hear other parts. Excellent chopping man!!!! As for my other favorite joint....Love. Dirty drums, muddy bass and all. They all knock well in my monitors.
Keep em comin Admiral. I'm sure we're all amateurs, at least during some point in our lives. Sight me out on myspace if you wanna hear some bangers. peace.

freaking rapidshit.. ya'll need to stop uploading to that shit web host, maybe they'll get their shit together and stop trying to profit off of piracy. I know this particular item on rapidshit isn't pirated, but seriously that's all rapidshit is used for now days and I have not one problem with pirating, but fuck rapidshit to hell for making money off peoples hard work (the artist making their shit and the pirates pirating their shit) cut the middle man (aka bitch ass rapidshit) and it's all gravy baby.

Traffic Interlude...which I'm guessing wasn't deemed useful to any emcee....is the hottest track in my opinion...I will have fun raping this track..

I gave this a deeper listen...and found that it was more entertaining than I originally thought. Props for "Peace" and "Lost At Sea". I am still having fun sodomizing "Traffic Interlude". Thanks for posting.

I FREAKING LOVE THIS COMPILATION! Cant even get it outa my car. Love Northern Star just as much (especially the title track - wondering for the life of me whether thats Jean Grae on the vocal sample).

Anyways, any retail from you all, I'm buying. Thats how much I like it.
