AARDVARCK - Loopin For The Perfect Beat
"This guy made a beats mix, He has been working on this mix for more than a year and it contains every fucking classic beat there is out there. He switches most beats after 2 or 3 seconds so you have no time to enjoy it because you are already listening to another classic!!"
A must listen!!
I added a backup mp3 download because im expecting that the soundcloud download limit will be reached soon.

Eh...the classics are there, but there are way too many personal favorites mixed in, and that killed it for me. I guess I mistakenly believed ALL the beats were going to be CERTIFIED hip hop classics. That would have been dope, especially in chronological order. I don't know about you, but Bambaataa to Cold Crush to Def Jam to BDP to Native Tongues to Pete & CL to Pharcyde to Premo to Wu Tang to the indie movement to Doom to Dilla to Madlib to Low End Theory, and others, would've been nice little trip down memory lane for me. Not sure where Bjork, reggae and dubstep fit in there. I'd like to see Cut Chemist attempt a rapid fire, all classic mix. I doubt he'd disappoint.
I appreciate the time and effort, but this mix is just too scattered for me. I was hoping to reminisce (speaking of which, no T.R.O.Y is blasphemy) to some classics, instead I reluctantly jumped from Jeru to Hudmo. Seems to be a mix of the DJ's favorite tracks, but definitely not all classics. I thought that was the point of the whole 3-second mix thing? It may be the first mix I've ever heard with both Sach and Ludacris in it. Love Sach, but the closest he ever came to a classic is "Mix Tapes" with The Nonce. Ludacris belongs nowhere near the word classic. Just a regular mix with some great tracks mixed in. Nothing special. Ok, after an agonizing assault of dubstep on my ears, it's over. I won't listen to it again.
Son, I am disappoint.
I think it was worth the effort and was definately excited when i heard so many of my favorite tracks from yester-year all over-again, even if some of them were breif. This might be something you might wanna explore further...like this was the big family tree of beats...now lets zoom in on one branch?
i dunno, just reminds me of the days when hip-hop DJ's juggled beats and blended everything in sight. Just cant do that anymore, so hats off for a great nostalgic journey.
Before you hate on this...let's hear YOUR mix..................OH! You don't have one? Aight then. So me, I will use this as a DJ 'to do list' of sorts. He dropped a lot of heat on here & I need to be sure that I have them all.
Pretty helpful data, thanks so much for this article.
