I can see why this is a dilla tribute, but doesnt mean it doesnt stand out by itself as a body of work. I dug a bunch of tracks.
To me, using dilla-esqe drum patterns, similar drum instruments, remixing the same songs dilla did in different ways or even having the 'feel' of a dilla track is no different to every musician using guitar effects and wah wah pedals, years after Hendrix first figured out how to use em for rock music. Kinda get the feeling he would be happy that people all over the world are making beats...even if they sounds like his!

Don't waste your time. If this is his interpretation of Dilla, then we weren't listening to the same Yancey.
