NoSleep-Remember Where They Came From...

Photobucket

Fifteen Freestylable Beats from yours truly. A lot of these beats were produced in 2008 earlier this year, some in 2005 as well as earlier this week so, you're lookin' at fairly fresh produce. What now suckaz!!! These are MY beats and I'm sharing because my mother taught me well. I am an emcee, producer, music enthusiast overall and I know what it's like to dig on beats for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Enjoy and don't forget to floss when you're done and...............Remember Where They Came From...

Hey Godadolla, I appreciate your feedback, positive responses are always inspirational. Any joints you like in particular? I'm curious to see whether or not certain tracks are amongst general popularity.

well the dopest ones to me are Be Yourself, Just Be True, How To Love, and Subway Singer which is my favorite the only thing about this whole album that could be considered a negative (not by me but other people) is the fact that most if not all these samples have already been used before various times but i dont really give a fuck about that if the beats are dope the beats are dope and these beats are dope

Well godadolla, the only thing I can say in response to someone who would claim everything was used was, give me a list of original artists, the track titles and the albums from which those tracks were found and I'd say, "good work". As far as "the whole album" or "most" or "if not all", I'm not absolutely sure about that. I located the samples for "How To Love" rom a hairband called "Storm" and had no prior knowledge of any of it ever being used. And the rest of the tracks as well were sampled from all original songs with no prior knowledge of whether or not the music had been used either. In fact, you may not know but, The Funk Father, Be Yourself and How To Love were all submissions to the Louis Den Beat Battles in the U.K. Funk father was actually the result of a challenge where you had to use songs from Mikes' Off The Wall, Bad and Thriller. That beat is actually composed of nothing but Mike Jack samples from the vocals to the drums to the horns. That was part of the rules. But I can appreciate your observation. I do find myself pointing out stuff that had been used but my arguments would have been that its all in how you flip the sample brother. Tons of cats have flipped "Nautilus" and every one unique in itself according to the artists vision. A beautiful thing. Pz Homie.

Have you used these beats yet.
Cause I opened it, heard the first beat (Subway Singer), grabbed my pen and wrote until 4am.
I haven't listened to the rest yet but I have a song for Subway Singer

@Native--------Shit man, you picked the one beat that was already centered around a concept I had come up with. I can dig it, I love the simplicity and intro for that beat. If you'd like I can build a new beat around your vocals...Record your track, send me the vocal tracks separate, send me a reference over a beat just so I know where to place the vocals and then I'll get to work, free of charge. My email is cubason_4180@yahoo.com
I appreciate your interest in the beat. Let's bang out the joint you wrote first and then we'll go talk about another project afterward...you down?
